Diwali Presentations In Year 5

7 May 2021

Diwali dress up with the students and teachers

As part of their Self & Society topic this term, the Year 5 boys were lucky enough to watch an interesting and informative presentation on Diwali this morning. The assembly was delivered by Mrs Mehta, Cassius J, Shaan S, Arnie G, Abhi D, Byron H and Rohan J, who each shared their own experiences of the Diwali festival with the rest of the Year Group. Their fellow classmates were fascinated as they sat comfortably and listened to the stories. They learnt all about the traditional clothing worn, the fireworks, the Diyas (lamps), Rangoli patterns and how important this festival is for Hindus and Sikhs all over the world. The six boys were extremely courageous and each delivered a fantastic presentation on their experiences of the festival.

A huge well done and massive thank you to Mrs Mehta and the boys for delivering such an engaging assembly! We hope you enjoy the gallery below, which showcases the fantastic presentation delivered this morning.
