The Beacon is situated in Chesham Bois on the A416 between Amersham-on-the-Hill and Chesham.
From M40 west or east, exit junction 2 and take A355 northbound towards Beaconsfield and Amersham. At the first roundabout, bear left towards Beaconsfield and Amersham and move into the right lane, turning right (second exit) at the roundabout to follow the A355 for the next 5 miles towards Amersham. At the roundabout at the bottom of “Gore Hill” take the second exit straight over to Old Amersham and at the roundabout (with Tesco ahead) turn left, first exit, onto “The Broadway”. Continue across the mini-roundabout and at the next mini-roundabout take the 2nd exit onto “Church Street”. At the next mini-roundabout, go straight across (second exit) up “Rectory Hill”. At the top of “Rectory Hill” go straight across (first exit) the mini-roundabout, then take the first exit again (left) at the next mini-roundabout to join Chesham Road/A416. Continue on Chesham Road/A416 for 3/4 mile and after the road bears to the right, The Beacon is located on the left-hand side of the road.
From M25, exit junction 18 and take A404 westwards towards Amersham. After passing through Chorleywood and Little Chalfont, continue for 1 1/4 miles to Amersham and at the roundabout take the second exit passing under a railway bridge and then bear left onto “Woodside Road”. Continue to the end of this road (straight across three mini roundabouts) to where it joins the A416 “Amersham Road”. Turn right onto A416 and after the road bears to the right, The Beacon can be found approximately 1/4 mile along on the left-hand side of the road.
Amersham Station (London Underground and National Train Station) is approximately 7 minutes by car or a 15 minute walk.
Visitors are requested to park in the main school car park whenever possible. If the car park is full and you need to park in nearby roads, please show due consideration for our neighbours. Thank you for your cooperation.
