Our Year 3 boys had a fantastic time taking part in various fun and creative activities to celebrate Ancient Egyptian Day. Since the start of the school year, the boys have been learning about the Ancient Egyptians in History lessons and this hands-on learning day is a real highlight of their calendar.
After a sun-soaked promenade around The Quad in their Ancient Egyptian finery, the boys used their creative skills to make different artefacts, including Egyptian fans, shabti dolls and metal plaques.
In the afternoon, Year 3 were lucky enough to virtually meet a ‘real life’ Ancient Egyptian! The boys had the chance to ask him questions and talk about life as an Ancient Egyptian.
The whole year group had a fantastic day and thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the Ancient Egyptians. We hope you enjoy the gallery below, which showcases just a snippet of the exciting activities the boys took part in!
