Beacon Boys Pull Together for Local Community

12 October 2020

donations gathered for charity by a prep school in Beaconsfield

Last week, our Beacon family came together once again to give back to our local community. Our autumn donation day for the Chiltern Foodbank had a tremendous response. The total weight of the food donated was a staggering 755 kg! With our help, the Chiltern Foodbank have provided 32,679 meals to help local families in need, an increase of 170%.

Additionally, to mark World Mental Health Day on Saturday 10 October, the Beacon had a non-uniform day to support Buckinghamshire Mind who, in partnership with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, provide information to support young people and help their families deal with mental health issues. Our JustGiving page alone received over £1,700 in donations! If you didn’t get a chance to donate, please click here for our JustGiving page.

We are hugely grateful and proud of our Beacon Community for their consistent generosity and giving spirit – #BeaconTogether.
