The Beacon School is currently looking to further enhance and strengthen the school’s Governing Board by recruiting a new Governor with expertise in health & safety at work.
The role of a Beacon Governor is to support the school to run as effectively as possible, working alongside the other members of the Board, the Chair of Governors, Clerk as well as other senior members of staff to provide an excellent education for the children who attend the school. More specifically, Governors help to make and challenge strategic and financial decisions. Governors are also expected to uphold the ethos, aims and values of the school and to act as ambassadors for the school.
A Governor role is a voluntary position.
