Scenic Alpine Town of Morzine
Our Year 8 pupils visited the beautiful Alpine town of Morzine in the French Alps for their final Beacon residential trip. From the scenic drive into the mountains and the panoramic views from the hotel to the fresh mountain air, it was the perfect start to a memorable week.
Throughout the trip, the group enjoyed a wide range of activities, including white-water rafting, climbing, high ropes, mountain trekking to the French–Swiss border, bushcraft, visits to the town and cable car adventures. Combined with stunning scenery and excellent food, the residential was a fitting finale to the majority of their time at the school.
Some of the week’s standout moments included the exhilarating white-water rafting, the rewarding trek to Col de Cou, and the friendly cricket and basketball fixtures against Winchester House.
