Year 7 Impressing Guest Judge Henry Cripps
Our Year 7 MasterCook competitors delivered an impressive and diverse showcase of dishes, drawing inspiration from cuisines across the globe. Each pupil demonstrated not only strong technical skills, but also a genuine passion for cooking, presenting meals they had clearly practised and refined ahead of the competition.
We were delighted to welcome Henry Cripps, owner of the award-winning gastro pub ‘The Three Oaks’ in Gerrards Cross. Henry joined our Head of Cooking and Nutrition, Kim Rowland, to support and adjudicate the competition.
After careful deliberation from the judges, our Year 7 MasterCook winners:
1st Place: Henry W– Venison Wellington
2nd Place: Oliver C – Pavlova with Mango and Blueberries
Joint 3rd Place: Henry S – Wild Mushroom, Chicken and Pancetta Risotto
Joint 3rd Place: Arki B – Beef Ribeye with Potato Dauphinoise
Mrs Rowland commented, “What stood out most was their creativity with many pupils adding their own unique twists, elevating familiar recipes with imaginative flavours and eye-catching presentation. It was a pleasure to see such confidence, effort and pride in their work, making the event both enjoyable and inspiring to watch.”
