Year 4 Viking Day 2025

Immersive Experience of Viking Life

Our Year 4 boys were thrilled to experience life as a Viking for the day to support their learning of the scandinavian warriors, their history and culture. The boys were fortunate to have a visit from ‘Off the Page’ who transformed their day with enriching and immersive learning activities during a workshop that put the boys in the mist of the Viking action.

In the morning, Year 4 took part in everyday tasks in a 9th century village, including weaving, pottery, metal working and candle making. During the afternoon, they looked at the Dark Ages from a historical perspective, with the boys using archaeology to understand how they learnt about the historical tasks they performed in the morning.

All our boys had a fantastic day, and it was wonderful to see them all dressed up and getting into character.
