Another year of success
We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our pupils, many of whom have been awarded prestigious scholarships to some of the country’s leading senior schools for entry in September 2026.
Over the course of the year, a number of our Year 6 and Year 8 pupils have received the exciting news that they will be progressing to some of the UK’s most distinguished independent schools. These honours include Academic, Sport, Music, Computer Science, Art and Drama Scholarships and Exhibitions to institutions such as Merchant Taylors’ School, Harrow, Berkhamsted, Shiplake and Haileybury. These accomplishments are a testament to our pupils’ hard work, commitment, and consistently strong performance during their journey at The Beacon.
Headmaster Nick Baker says, “Another great year of Scholarships for The Beacon. Awarded for excellence across all aspects of the curriculum, it is another exemplar of how we are the very definition of an ‘all round’ school. We are immensely proud of these boys, but more than that, I take the greatest satisfaction from the reaction of our community when I announce these awards in Monday Assembly. Everyone celebrates in the success, as these high achievers represent the school as a whole; academic, sporting, musical, artistic, dramatic and computing excellence only happens with the inspiration and vibrancy of the environment around them. Well done, everyone!”
Congratulations to our following 2026 Beacon Scholars:
Hugo C, Oliver C, Jimmy C, Nisaja D, Barney G, Sam H, Dino J, Archie K-G, Theo K, Henry M, Leo M, Shay N, James N-S, Hunter O, Dexter R, Sebastian S, Buddy T, Sebbi T, Tom T, Sean T and Oleg V.
