Brining Learning to Life
Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic day on their trip to Windsor Castle, where they explored nearly 1,000 years of history.
One of the highlights was seeing the Royal Standard flying and knowing that The King was in residence. During an engaging workshop, the group discovered why Windsor Castle was built in such a strategic location and how it had been defended throughout its long history.
They were also fascinated by Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, complete with working electricity and running water, and watched the castle guards marching through the grounds.
It was overall a very memorable day that brought their learning about castles to life!
