On Monday morning, the Quad was buzzing with excitement as Year 5 arrived with their luggage, ready to set off on The Beacon’s annual PGL Trip.
After boarding the coaches, the group travelled to Liddington, a village in the Borough of Swindon in Wiltshire, where an exciting programme of activities awaited them.
Although the weather brought a few showers, spirits remained high throughout the trip. From the moment they arrived, our pupils embraced every challenge, taking part in activities such as climbing, canoeing and buggy building. They particularly enjoyed the infamous giant swing!
On the final evening, Year 5 were thrilled to celebrate the end of their adventure with a well-deserved disco, sampling some of Liddington’s finest cuisine.
We are immensely proud of the bravery shown by every pupil as they tackled each activity, no matter how big or small. Their excellent manners and positive attitude represented our school brilliantly. Well done, Year 5!
