Year 4 Residential Trip to Longridge

21 June 2023

Our boys in Year 4 had an action-packed two days at Longridge Activity Centre in Marlow. They took part in climbing activities, team challenges, raft building, stand-up paddle boarding and experienced water orbs! It was their first residential trip at The Beacon, enjoying a night away with their friends, sleeping in a tent. The boys had a fantastic time!

A big thank you to all the teachers involved in organising the trip, our boys returned to The Beacon with huge smiles on their face.

Below are some quotes from our Year 4 boys about their trip:

“My favourite thing was the SUP – it was so much fun, because we got to jump in” – Jeevan

“I liked the Leap of Faith, where you had to climb up and jump off it” – Henry

“I liked the water orbs because you got to balance and run in them on the water and the breakfast was really good too! – Louis

“I liked the SUP and the build-your-own raft – as I liked the idea of paddling on the boat, and I thought the food was really good” – Nicholas

“I liked the climbing, especially the Leap of Faith and Jacobs Ladder” – Ben

“The good thing about camping was that we had our own tents” – Otis
