What a Challenge!

25 January 2021

We would like to say a huge thank you and well done to our entire Beacon Community for all the fantastic running and walking completed and logged in our Beacon Running Challenge last week. Our boys, staff and parents did not let the wind, rain or snow stop them in their daily walks or runs – they braved some pretty awful weather conditions!

Our School Community certainly rose to the challenge and ran a staggering distance of 5,658.98km! Together, we walked or ran as far as Equatorial Guinea, West Africa – now that is impressive! Congratulations to Year 4, who maintained their early lead and came top of the leaderboard with a tremendous total of 1,005.53km, shortly followed by the Beacon Staff with 987.73km! Please see the final leaderboard below.

A huge thank you to our Sport department for driving this inspiring initiative and well done to everyone who got involved!

Good news – we will not stop there! Next week, we will take part in The Beacon Cycling Challenge, so please get some rest this week in preparation! More information to follow… watch this space! #KeepingBeaconActive #BeaconTeam
