U8As vs Moulsford
![]()
The U8A team travelled to Moulsford on Thursday for another excellent fixture. We started strongly, immediately putting pressure on the opposition with five quick tries. The boys moved the ball confidently and created constant problems for the Moulsford defence.
Although Moulsford responded with several well-taken tries of their own, The Beacon maintained control through sharp attacking play, adding four more tries to secure a 9–5 victory. It was a superb display of rugby, showcasing great teamwork, improving skills, and real determination from the whole squad.
Well done to all involved.

- Maxim M – 1st place (Year 5)
- Charlie J – 6th place (Year 4)
- Hector M – 1st place (Year 3)
Team results were equally impressive:
- Year 6 Team – 1st place
- Year 5 Team – 1st place
- Year 4 Team – 8th place
- Year 3 Team – 2nd place
A huge congratulations to all the the 35 boys who took part, an excellent effort and fantastic results all round!

Colts vs Moulsford (Away)
A game of two halves – a saying that is said to have originated in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s to describe a football game which has a different character in the two halves. That sums up the afternoon at Moulsford on Wednesday for the Colts A team.
After we eventually sourced a gumshield and completed our very brief and hurried warm up, the game started and before we knew it, we were 3 tries to 1 down with Evan A scoring our first try. All credit to the boys, as they dragged themselves back into the game with some of their best rugby of the season and the score was 3-3 at half-time (thanks to two more tries from Blake B and Rocky D) with everything to play for.
And so, onto the second half…. A few quick tries by Moulsford knocked a lot of confidence out of the Colts and while they never gave up, our tackling let us down on too many occasions and the game finished 8-4, with Xander T-O (captain for the day) running in his weekly brilliant individual try.

U10 As vs Belmont and UCS
Last Friday, our boys put on two very impressive performances, playing some excellent rugby throughout the afternoon against UCS and Belmont.
In the opening match against UCS, the team was dominant from start to finish, winning comfortably 25–5. The boys showed great teamwork and skill, moving the ball well and taking their chances effectively.
The second match against Belmont proved to be a much tighter and more physical contest. The boys rose to the challenge and matched their opponents in every area. It was a fantastic game to watch, with both teams giving their all. Our Beacon boys were excellent across the park and scored several well-worked tries, moving the ball beautifully through the hands.
The team continues to improve with every game and is developing into a very strong rugby side. Well done to all the boys:
Edward B, Barney K, Hendrix K, Teddy S-S, Macsen T, Robert P, Peter C, Harley G, Bertie H and Wilf W.
