Our Year 8 boys enjoyed their final residential in Cornwall. The sun shone and the temperature was perfect for all their activities. These included the traditional beach fare of coasteering from the rugged cliffs around Newquay and surfing at Great Western Beach. Evenings consisted of beach games such as beach cricket, football and volleyball.
The boys had a whole day in the saddle, cycling from Padstow along the stunning Camel River up to Bodmin, stopping for a well-earned lunch and then back to Padstow via Wadebridge. The 24-mile round trip was great fun.
The highlight of the week was the zip wire descent over the biospheres of the Eden Project. Our boys loved the experience of flying down the line at speeds of approximately 60 mph!
It was a super trip and a fitting send-off for the boys! The boys even sampled proper homemade Cornish pasties.
