Year 4 Greek Myths

31 March 2023

Our Year 4 boys have been working hard with determination and enthusiasm in Performing Arts this term, preparing for their playlets, ‘Greek Myths’.

They performed to staff and boys in other year groups at their dress rehearsals as well as putting on two main evening productions to parents and siblings in the Spinney Theatre. It was fantastic to see the Spinney full on both nights!

There were four playlets, all of which were performed superbly by each form group; The Midas Touch (4Y), Pandora’s Box (4R), Atalanta & The Great Race (4G) and The Trojan Horse (4B). The playlets delivered a good balance of emotion and humour with minimal props, showcasing just how hard our boys have been working on their acting, singing and dancing skills this term!

It was wonderful to see the boys projecting their lines so well, putting a huge amount of expression in with their acting, and singing in unison with a clear tone. Our Year 4 boys have certainly developed their teamwork skills, building a huge amount of confidence practising in the larger theatre space ready for the spotlight with an audience.

Well done Year 4, your performances were outstanding!
