Year 8 Trip to Cornbury Park

25 June 2021

The Year 8 boys had a fantastic time on their trip to Cornbury Park this week! They took part in various activities to improve their survival skills and as you can see from the gallery below, the boys thoroughly enjoyed their time in the woods! William A in Year 8 summarised the trip:

This week, all of Year 8 went on a trip to Cornbury Park from Monday to Thursday. We took part in countless fun activities including cooking our own food!

I tried many things that I had never done before, such as tomahawk throwing and trap-making. My favourite activities were archery, 21 and camouflage training. 21 is a game that involves one person finding a hiding space and the spotter tries to find you without moving. The next round begins when the spotter gives you 21 seconds to high five him and run to find a new spot. After every round, the time to hide and high five decreases.

On the trip, I enjoyed cooking my own food. We had the chance to cook vegetable stew, as well as cook a burger over the fire.

In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and had a fantastic time. Thank you to all the teachers who organised it.
