The Beacon Cycling Challenge

9 February 2021

I have been blown away by the way our Years 3-8 boys have got involved with The Beacon Inter-House Cycling Challenge over the past week, and I would like to thank our entire Beacon Community for supporting this initiative.

Our winning House was… Portland! However, a huge congratulations has to go to every single boy, parent and staff member who took part. Together, as a School, we have cycled, walked or run a tremendous total of 15,544.60km, which means we have travelled the same distance as flying to Queensland, Australia! This was also through Storm Darcy – aka The Beast from the East II, so this achievement is even more impressive. It’s been so incredible to see our boys keeping active and having lots of fun in the process.

Pictured in the gallery below are just a few of our fantastic Beacon boys getting involved in the challenge – you may spot me in there too!
