Beacon Mathematicians

20 November 2020

Our Beacon boys really enjoyed taking part in the national Primary and Senior Maths challenges last week. We received a large amount of awards, highlighting how enthusiastic and capable our boys are in Maths. A very special mention to our Gold winners who reached the highest standards of national Maths and we wish them good luck in their next rounds! Another special mention to Shay in Year 3, who received a bronze award.

The Year 8 Maths scholars sat a Senior Mathematical Challenge paper designed for students up to the age of 18. It encourages mathematical reasoningprecision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. Impressively our Beacon boys achieved some bronze and silver certificates as well as a very prestigious gold certificate. Akaash A will be sitting the Kangaroo Senior Challenge this week, a fantastic achievement!

Well done, boys!
