Once again we have been thrilled to see so many boys cooking from home and producing wonderful plates of food as part of their #BeaconExcellence:Online Cooking and Nutrition lessons. This week the boys have been making brownies, pizza, focaccia and hummus, as well as some choosing to replicate last week’s recipes of crumble, protein balls and yoghurt cake. Some boys even picked their own fruit to make crumble! Just a few examples of what has been made can be seen below.
Pupils in Year 2 and Year 3 are also currently learning Italian as part of The Beacon’s International Studies programme. Featured below is a Year 2 boy’s pasta pomodoro which he made following Mrs Jones’s recipe (from Naples).
We continue to be impressed by the boys’ enthusiasm and willingness to challenge themselves with their cooking; we certainly have some chefs amongst us!
