‘Tree of the Year’ Photography Competition

18 March 2020

We had a brilliant response to the whole school photography competition based on the theme of ‘The Tree of the Year’, with 96 photos to judge! The boys submitted striking photos and created some imaginative writing based on their chosen tree. All submissions have been displayed in the foyer for all boys and staff to see.  Congratulations to our four winners; Kit R from Pre-Prep, Dino J from Lower School, Archie Y for Middle School and Hugo W from Upper School. They all received a family ticket to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition at the Natural History Museum.

Head’s Talk & Tours

Throughout July and August, our Headmaster, Will Phelps, is inviting future Beacon families to safely meet with him on our School site for a socially-distanced tour of our incredible school and an informal talk about your son and his education. Please click here for more details.

“The largest single sex Prep School in the UK, The Beacon still has an impressively inclusive, family feel to it, with a focus on pastoral care and turning out well-rounded boys.”

For a genuine insight into The Beacon, see our recent review from Muddy Stilettos.
