A Wonderful Experience at Chesham Central Mosque

3 March 2020

children from a private school in Bucks learning about prayer

Following on from our recent topic about Islam this term, Year 4 boys took part in a visit to Chesham Mosque. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the morning and asked some very insightful questions, such as why there are no female Imams, whether Muslim children are baptised and what the inscription in the dome means. They learned about the role of the Mosque in the community, the five daily prayers and the significance of the Holy Quran.

The boys and teachers would like to say a huge thank you to Imran who showed us around and answered hundreds of questions with patience and good humour.
