Design & Technology Opportunities in Year 5

In Cooking & Nutrition this week, Year 5 boys have been making risotto. They noticed how the starch is released into the sauce and absorbs water to soften it and give it a rich, creamy texture. Meanwhile, in the Design & Technology Lab, the other half of the class have been using a variety of tools to hone and sand their wooden cars.
