MasterCook Winners Experience A Professional Kitchen Service

Our Year 6 MasterCook adjudicator, Daniel Crump, invited our four Year 4 MasterCook Competition winners to his award-winning restaurant, The Greyhound in Beaconsfield, for an exciting behind-the-scenes chef experience workshop.

Following a comprehensive kitchen induction with Head Chef George, each pupil was paired with a different chef and gained a hands-on experience working across the various sections of the kitchen as they prepared for service. Once service was underway, the pupils assisted with plating dishes for our Head of Cooking and Nutrition and MasterCook organiser, Kim Rowland, as well as restaurant proprietor and Master of Culinary Arts, Daniel Crump. They also had the opportunity to plate and present their own dishes before sitting down to enjoy the exceptional meal they had helped to create – a fitting reward for a fantastic day in a professional kitchen!
