Medals, smiles and sporting success
Pre-Prep Sports Day is always one of the highlights of The Beacon’s calendar. Although the sun was less forthcoming than in previous years, our youngest pupils more than made up for it with their energy and excitement, showcasing impressive running, jumping and throwing throughout their biggest sporting event of the year.
Working their way around a range of activity stations in groups, children from Nursery to Year 2 enjoyed a programme tailored to their age. From the traditional egg-and-spoon race to the ever-popular sack race and a challenging obstacle course, the morning provided the perfect balance of sports and fun.
Members of our Beacon community lined the sidelines to cheer on the pupils, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the event. The morning concluded with a celebratory medal ceremony, where every child was recognised for their effort and participation.
Congratulations to all our young athletes for taking part! We’re now looking forward to seeing our current Year 2 pupils take to the track at Prep Sports Day in Woodside Stadium next year.
