Tacos, tunes and tequila-inspired treats
The Quad as we know it was transformed over the weekend into a magical fiesta, complete with twinkling lights, great music, delicious food and plenty of laughter. It was the perfect setting for parents to unwind, catch up with friends and celebrate another fantastic year at The Beacon.
Attendees taste buds were transported to Mexico thanks to Mamacita, who served up a feast of delicious burritos, tacos and the all-important churros and chocolate (which disappeared remarkably quickly!)
The fabulous mariachi band Beato Burrito had everyone smiling with an impressive repertoire of familiar tunes given the full mariachi treatment, while later in the evening the DJ took parents straight back to the 90s. Before long, handbags had been safely deposited in the middle of the dance floor, proving that some traditions never go out of fashion!
JJ Bar kept the fiesta flowing with a fantastic selection of cocktails and mocktails, and it’s fair to say that more than a few spicy margaritas found happy homes throughout the evening.
It was wonderful to see so many parents enjoying a relaxed summer evening together. We hope everyone left with sore feet, full stomachs and perhaps just a slight craving for another spicy margarita.
