Old Boys Return to The Beacon
On Thursday, we were delighted to welcome back a number of Old Boys from the 1940s, 50s and 60s who braved the heat and returned to The Beacon for a special reunion. For some of our guests, it was their first time back in over 70 years!
Whilst they enjoyed a sumptuous lunch cooked by Chef Dino and his team, the highlight for many was being shown round by our Year 5 pupils, who were praised for being such excellent tour guides and ambassadors for the school.
Iain Ward (OB 1951-57) and Tony Tagent (OB 1953-58) treated some of the boys to a special tour around the original School House building and shared stories from their Beacon schooldays, and Roger Berkley (OB 1949-56) brought his 1930s Sunbeam car for our pupils to enjoy.
Thank you to all our Old Boys for making the journey back to The Beacon – we hope to see you all again soon!
