Pyjamas with a purpose
Our annual Hospital Pyjama Day rounded off the week in style, with pupils and staff swapping their usual school attire for cosy pyjamas.
Alongside the fun of spending the day in their favourite sleepwear, everyone was encouraged to donate a brand-new pair of pyjamas to support Children’s Hospital Pyjamas.
The UK charity collects new pyjamas and distributes them to hospitals, hospices and women’s refuges across the country, where they are given to children who are staying in hospital. The simple gift helps provide comfort and a sense of normality during what can be a difficult and unfamiliar experience.
The charity has donated more than 100,000 pairs of pyjamas to children since it began, with donations reaching hundreds of hospitals, hospices and refuges across the UK.
