Our Year 2 young musicians took to the stage this week for a delightful instrumental concert, showcasing their hard work, dedication and growing confidence as performers. The Spinney Theatre was filled with excitement on Wednesday afternoon as our boys prepared to share their musical talents with our enthusiastic audience.
Despite the crowd, many of the boys confidently introduced their pieces before impressing everyone with their musical skills, demonstrating excellent focus and technique. The concert featured a wonderful variety of instruments, including piano and flute, as well as a selection of string instruments.
Mrs Voneshen, our Pre-Prep Music Teacher commented,
“There were some really strong solo and group performances in our Year 2 Instrumental Concert. For many of the Year 2 boys, this was the first time that had performed their instrument (or in an instrumental group) in front of an audience. Bravo! From a sibling duet of ‘We Like Coffee, We Like Tea’ to toots being played, to ‘Happy Haydn’ played by our cellists and ‘Golden’ on the piano, there was such a range of different styles of music being shared. A very enjoyable concert and fantastic to see the boys supporting each other and showing some excellent behaviour too. Well done! Keep up your practice, boys.”
