Middle School - The Beacon School

Our Middle School boys and girls establish themselves as excellent role models, guiding our younger years.

Pupils in Years 5 & 6 continue to grow dramatically in independence and responsibility. Their ability to reflect, to communicate and to collaborate with others expands and opportunities to become leaders are vast. They develop academically, socially and emotionally, quickly affirming themselves as a mentor to others.

Middle School Curriculum

Specialist opportunities in Year 6

Further specialist teachers in all subjects are introduced in Year 6, including Geography, History, Classics and Latin and French or Spanish, sharing their love and knowledge of their chosen subject with their classes. Pupils have a vast array of opportunities open to them in these years, such as school debates, visiting author workshops, Maths & Science challenges, DT Tournaments and cross-curricular trips.

In Year 6, our pupils enjoy putting on their big production on stage in the Spinney Theatre with shows such as Peter Pan Jr and My Son Pinocchio Jr.
