Year 4 enjoyed their first taste of residentials at The Beacon, with a journey a stone’s throw away from school, at Woodrow High House.
They participated in a number of activities, from archery to parachute games, and even managed a spot of climbing! With the weather set against everyone on the first day, the boys resiliently battled through the rain and smiled throughout the first few sessions. However, the evening fortunately took a turn for the better, and the boys were treated with marshmallows over a campfire to end the day off .
With it being the first night away from their parents for a number of boys and also the first night in rooms with a large group of their friends, Year 4 slept surprisingly well! We are very proud of the boys as well as their behaviour, and we look forward to future trips with this year group!
