Dear Parents,
Though our colleagues and I have experienced many inspections over the years, these weeks are always uniquely pressurised experiences for all. They are though, always helpful, and accountability for schools and independent judgement is not just welcome but essential for a strong educational sector in the UK. Having worked here for just shy of two and half years, I’d like to think I have a good knowledge of the strength of our Common Room but my opinion of our people has increased yet further this week. Confidence in their own ability, knowledge and insight, calmness and professionalism under pressure, and most of all, their collaborative and supportive friendship with one another – they truly were so impressive.
And of course, the stars of the show, our brilliant Beacon boys; our biggest asset and the best example of everything that is great about our community. Thank you to everyone for this week and all parents that responded to the Questionnaire – that was a collective Beacon effort all round and it was clear that all of us are on the same page. I very much look forward to sharing the Report when it is published later this term; I have no doubt it will be a report to be immensely proud of.
Bring on the weekend!
Nick Baker
