We are currently seeking a Sports and Swimming Teacher to join our vibrant Sports Team at The Beacon. The role involves working primarily with our younger aged pupils.
In addition to teaching PE and swimming, the candidate appointed would be part of our team of teaching staff who also assist with coaching, clubs and fixtures for Rugby, Football, Cricket, Tennis, Athletics, etc.
Topline job description:
- To prepare and deliver Sports (PE, Games, Swimming, etc) lessons in line with the timetable allocated, agreed curriculum and schedules of activity
- To encourage the boys achieve excellence in all their endeavours and to expect high standards of sportsmanship
- To assess boys’ performance, participation and progress in line with the school and departmental policies and to record assessments in a clear and informative manner
- To actively encourage fitness and lead on the ethos of ‘Sport for All’
- To maintain records and notes in the School’s MIS
- To arrange and deliver extra-curricular clubs, fixtures, inter-school competitions etc.
