In English Year 4 have been looking at poems around the topic of Diversity. This includes gender, race, class, disability, skin colour, age, height and many other qualities which make us appear different. The boys chose one of these areas and wrote a short poem; lots of them have been inspired by the recent media events and many have focused on what makes us the same. Others used empathy to write a poem from another’s perspective.

The teachers have been overwhelmed with the empathy shown by such young boys and would love for you to keep a lookout throughout the Summer for videos of our boys performing their poems.
