Update on proposal to extend the morning bus service, by operating a coach on the existing Gerrards Cross route, releasing our minibus to cover a new route from Prestwood.

It is now clear that we require planning permission to make some of the modifications necessary to allow larger bus/coach access and manoeuvrability in the front car park; unfortunately we will not be able to get this permission in time for September.  We will, therefore, continue to run the existing minibus service for at least the first half of the Autumn term, and possibly for the whole term.  Places on this bus will be allocated to existing users and their siblings as a first priority.

In September, we will contact those who expressed an interest in either route (via the recent survey), plus parents of new joiners, to give  more details about stops, fares etc and ask parents to register their firm commitment.  We will also be exploring the possibility of including Heatherton House girls.  This will enable us to establish actual demand and the size of vehicle needed for each route.

Once (hopefully) planning permission is received we will be able to launch the new service, which is planned for the start of the Spring term 2011 at the latest.
