School Trips

School trips and journeys are an important part of school life and there is a range of fun and educational outings for all age groups from Reception upwards.

Boys in Year 5 and above enjoy an annual residential trip. In recent years, Year 5 have been to Windmill Hill in Sussex, Year 6 to Newquay and Year 8 on an outdoor pursuit week where their leadership skills are put to the test in a multi-activity, self-catering week under canvas. There are also trips to France and Spain for Year 7 boys as part of their Modern Foreiqn Language teaching. Year 8 boys have visited the World War I battlefields near Ypres.

Other trips in recent years have included ski trips and a choir tour to Trento in Italy, as well as performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

In addition, the boys go on a range of day trips throughout the year, for example:

Reception - College Lake in Tring, Chiltern Open Air Museum, theatre trip
Year 1 - Windsor Castle, Whipsnade Zoo, theatre trip
Year 2 - RAF Hendon, Oxford Castle, theatre trip
Year 3 - The British Museum, Pitt Rivers Museums in Oxford, Bracknell Discovery Centre
Year 4 - Chesham Mosque, Hazard Alley, Collings Hanger Farm
Year 5 - Neasden Temple, Sulgrave manor
Year 6 - St Albans
